Training in Lieu of Experience (TILE/HC) Training Package

If you're looking to obtain your Learner's Permit, the Adelaide Truck Training Centre offers a comprehensive Training In Lieu of Experience (TILE) package. This course is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the transport industry.

The TILE package begins with a mandatory 2-day theory course, covering a total of 18 hours. After completing this course, you will receive a certificate of completion, which can be presented to Service SA to obtain your Learner's Permit. Following the theory component, you will participate in up to 20 hours of practical training and assessment.

Course Outline:

Day 1: Road Law

Day 2: Industry

Day 3 & 4: Practical Heavy Combination (HC) training (up to 20 hours)*

* Please note: Practical training days are not held consecutively. All modules, including both theory and practical, must be booked together as a complete package.

If the final assessment drive is not completed within the allocated timeframe, additional training may be required to ensure all necessary competencies are met.
